[NEWS] Kyuhyun comfrimed to role in Three Musketeer

It is confirmed: Super Junior’s Kyuhyun is set to star in a musical.

Unverified reports were floating recently that Super Junior’s maknae will be joining the trend of idols doing musicals. Finally, a press release from SM Entertainment turned the rumors into news.

Kyuhyun and labelmate Jay of rock band TRAX have been cast in the musical version of the classic Alexander Dumas story The Three Musketeers. Kyuhyun and Jay will be alternating the lead role of d’Artagnan, a normal boy who dreams of becoming one of the musketeers—an elite band of soldiers who live to serve the King. With d’Artagnan in his journey are Athos, Porthos and Aramis.

This is Kyuhyun’s musical debut, and also his acting debut. Jay on the other hand, already has a resume of musicals under his belt, with this year’s Hey Bro? and the most recent Rock of Ages.

Constance Bonacieux, the main female character to whom d’Artagnan falls in love with will be played by The Grace member DANA.

The Three Musketeers will open its curtains on December 15 at the Chungmu Art Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul, and will run until January 30, 2011.
